An asbestos survey is a comprehensive inspection of a property to determine if any asbestos-containing materials are present. The report identifies the location, type, and condition of any asbestos found. This information can be used to develop a management plan to address any risks associated with the asbestos.

There are two types of asbestos surveys: management surveys and refurbishment/demolition surveys. Management surveys are designed to identify any asbestos-containing materials that might be disturbed during normal occupancy of the property. Refurbishment/demolition surveys are more intrusive and are carried out prior to any refurbishment or demolition work taking place.
