Management Survey

A management survey is a non-intrusive survey that uses visual inspections and sampling to identify any ACMs that may be disturbed during normal occupancy and maintenance. It's often required for commercial buildings and public areas, as well as residential buildings that are shared by several households.

We will provide you with an asbestos survey report that includes:

• Comprehensive details of the location, condition, and type of ACMs
• A risk assessment that identifies the likelihood and consequences of asbestos exposure
• A priority risk strategy that recommends measures to control and manage the risks
• An asbestos register that records the results of the survey and the actions taken

Refurbishment/Demolition Survey

A refurbishment/demolition survey is a more intrusive survey that involves destructive inspections to access all areas of a building that may be affected by the proposed works. It's required before any structural or material changes are made to a property, such as removing walls, floors, or ceilings.

We will provide you with an asbestos survey report that includes:

• All the information from a management survey, plus
• The extent, accessibility, and condition of any ACMs that may be disturbed by the proposed works
• The recommendations for safe removal, encapsulation, or management of the ACMs
• The certification that the property is fit for refurbishment/demolition, as required by law

Asbestos Testing and Sampling

Asbestos testing and sampling is the process of collecting small samples from suspected ACMs and analyzing them in a UKAS-accredited laboratory. It's a safe and non-intrusive method of identifying the type and condition of asbestos fibers in the materials and the air.

We use two methods of asbestos testing and sampling:

Bulk Sampling

Bulk sampling is a method of collecting small samples of ACMs from the property and sending them to the laboratory for analysis. We adhere to strict safety procedures when collecting and handling the samples, and we label and store them securely until they reach the laboratory.

The laboratory will analyze the samples and provide a report that includes:

• The type, concentration, and condition of asbestos fibers in the samples
• The recommended measures for safe removal, encapsulation, or management of the ACMs
• The certification that the ACMs are asbestos or non-asbestos, as required by law
