Asbestos Management Surveys

Asbestos management surveys are non-intrusive surveys that are designed to locate, identify and assess the condition of asbestos-containing materials in a property. They are required under the Control of Asbestos Regulations (2012) for all non-domestic properties built before 2000, as well as for the common parts of domestic properties, such as flats, that contain communal areas. Our surveyors will visually inspect all accessible areas of the property and take samples of any materials suspected of containing asbestos. We will then provide you with a detailed report, including a register of any asbestos-containing materials, an assessment of their condition, and recommendations for their management.

Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys

Refurbishment and demolition surveys are intrusive surveys that are required before any refurbishment or demolition work is carried out on a property. The survey is designed to locate all asbestos-containing materials that could be disturbed during the work and to assess their condition. The surveyor will take samples of any materials suspected of containing asbestos and we will send them for analysis. We will then provide you with a report that includes a register of any asbestos-containing materials found, recommendations for their removal, and advice on how to manage the removal process safely.

Asbestos Sampling

We offer a comprehensive asbestos sampling service, which includes taking samples of any materials suspected of containing asbestos and sending them to UKAS-accredited laboratories for analysis. Our surveyors will take samples of materials such as textured coatings, ceiling tiles, insulation, and floor tiles, and mark the location of the samples on a plan of the building. We will then provide you with a report of the sample results, along with recommendations for any necessary asbestos management or removal activities.
