The aim of a management survey is to ensure that any ACMs are safely monitored or managed, to prevent any future asbestos-related risks to your health.

A refurbishment/demolition survey is required when you are planning to undertake work on a building that could potentially disturb ACMs. This type of survey is designed to identify all ACMs in detail before any refurbishment or demolition work starts. A refurbishment/demolition survey may require intrusive procedures and will involve some destructive inspection as necessary, to gain access to all areas, including making holes in ceilings, floors, and walls.
